About MAD Liepaja
MAD LIEPAJA is one of the largest action sports and youth culture festivals in the Baltics, taking place every summer in Liepāja, Latvia. Since 2015, the festival has brought together extreme sports, street culture, music, youth activities, and an unforgettable atmosphere in one place.
At the heart of the festival are BMX Freestyle, Skateboarding, Scooter, Inline Skating, Street Workout, Mini Football, and other disciplines that attract both professional athletes and emerging talents from Latvia and abroad. Over the years, MAD LIEPAJA has grown from a competition into a large-scale festival, welcoming thousands of visitors and building a strong and vibrant community.
MAD LIEPAJA is more than just sports — it is about energy, movement, creativity, and people. Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, workshops, Open Stage performances, street culture zones, and evening entertainment that fill Liepāja with the true spirit of summer.
A special highlight of the festival is the international BMX Freestyle competition, which has been awarded UCI C1 status, allowing riders to earn points towards the world rankings and Olympic qualification.
MAD LIEPAJA has been created and shaped by a small team for whom this festival is a true passion project. With dedication, perseverance, and a deep love for action sports and youth culture, we continue to create an event that brings people together and inspires unforgettable experiences year after year.
